4 pillars of the human being

What is more important than our health?

Without it we strangle to work, we might loose important moments with family, we don't feel strong enough to do some of the things that we love the most like sports, travel and more.
And sometime forget about that! We take everything around us, including our health, for granted and when life happens to us, it may be too late.

I was and still am a little bit like that person (I'm human). But I'm increasingly controlling myself so that when I see that I'm going beyond my limits, I don't have to stop altogether.

So what are the pillars that we should keep healthy?

1. Physical pillar:

The only pillar that is visible to our eyes and that we forget to look at. This pillar is so important that it was the first one we were born with and will be the last one we leave behind when we die. And it gives us many signs of when things are not right. A strange sensation, a pain, an emotion that makes us feel down or angry. How can we take care of it? Exercise, even something as simple as walking.
Find an activity that you enjoy doing and that gets your body moving. Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, even dancing will do. If you don't like exercise or "don't have time", it's a matter of priorities!
Healthy food. Cliché? I know! A varied diet with as little sugar and saturated fats as possible, and lots of water.
For those who say they don't like healthy food, my friends, you don't love yourself enough to realize that it's not about what you like, but about what's good for your body and that without it you can't live wonderful moments!

2. Mental pillar

Another pillar that most of us ignore.
We are living in very complicated times in this area. We have never been as mentally ill as we are today, although this is perhaps the best time to be alive if we look at the history of human beings. How is it possible that with so much abundance on all levels, we still don't realize that we have enough to be happy?

The comparisons we make on social media, wanting more than our neighbor because we feel inadequate, the desperation to work 7 days a week because just one job doesn't pay the bills... It can be distressing when we think about it.
How can we take care of our mind? By studying things that interest us and that make us think more constructively.
Find something that interests you, study it and practice it.
Stop watching news, videos and posts that take you to the negative side.
For example, don't have any electronic devices in your bedroom.

The mind is very powerful. What you say once will be repeated 10 times more in your thoughts. Therefore, if you say something negative about yourself, your mind will be a tornado of negativity. Practice powerful affirmations like “I am capable,” “I am enough,” “I have the ability and strength to change.”

3. Emotional pillar

People are closed off from feeling because it is uncomfortable. Emotions such as sadness can lead to depression that could be avoided. Frustration and pain can turn into anger that could be avoided. Fear turns into anxiety and panic attacks that could also be avoided.
When are we going to open our eyes to this?
The emotions that we do not release remain stagnant within us, and can lead to physical illness. How long are we going to ignore this?
Medication such as antidepressants, anxiolytics and, in some cases, mood stabilizers or antipsychotics do help in extreme cases, but if we took care to take care of ourselves first, there would be no need to walk around drugged up like sleepy zombies! Rest assured that I am not the only one who thinks the same, so I will not apologize for what I wrote. Let's wake up to life, people.

4. Spiritual pillar

This is a challenge for people to understand. But I will simply state my opinion. Spirituality has nothing to do with religion. It has to do with the faith we feel within ourselves that comes from somewhere we cannot see but that we know exists, because if we did not believe it did not exist we would not be able to feel love.

We all feel love, at least for one being on this planet. It could be a human, an animal, a plant, an object that is symbolic to us, even ourselves.

Without exception, we all have love and that is spirituality. It is forgiveness, the connection with others that are significant to us, helping others, looking around us and say: "I am alive" "I breathe" "I can see" "I can touch" "I can hear"....
So remember that love is the spirituality that unites us.
Gratitude is something we can do every day to take care of this pillar. Get a gratitude journal and write down 5 to 10 things you are grateful for every day. You can even say them out loud. And I always say that I feel like I need to connect with my spirituality.
If you connect with a word like God, Life, Universe, Buddha... So be it.

Now we have the information necessary to start to take care of yourself without excuses.

Love yourself the way that you want to see your loved ones doing for themselves, only because you know that is the right thing to do.

Forgive yourself and BE HAPPY!
